The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer interventions based on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act of Support and Service to Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS), the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Act of Care of Young People (LVU).

This can involve giving older people a secure and meaningful daily life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, young people, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

Job Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary in the Family Home Unit, you work with monitoring children placed in family homes. You work closely with people who need help, while contributing to a legally secure and sustainable social services system.

As a Social Secretary, you work with public authority functions and ensure that people receive the right support based on their needs. You meet people in different life situations and work to strengthen their conditions and quality of life.

The role includes among other things:

• Investigating and assessing needs according to SoL and LVU, and making decisions on interventions.
• Following up on placed children and decided interventions to ensure they meet the individual's needs.
• Documenting cases according to current legislation and regulations.
• Collaborating with other actors for a unified support system.
• Contributing to development and quality assurance within the unit.

Qualifications

You who apply have good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as SoL and LVU. The work requires that you are structured, empathetic, and have the ability to make decisions in complex situations and build relationships.

We also look for you to have:

• A degree in Social Work (Social Work Bachelor's or Master's)
• Experience with public authority functions within social services
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
